My fiancé's current record player is a bit worn out and really needs replacing. You literally have to smack it (like the Fonz) to get the record to spin! The plastic shield protects the records and the needle, both while playing and in storage. When closed, it does not muffle the sound or have any effects on the quality of play. I am also in awe of the sound quality produced by the player. Without even needing to hook up additional speakers, I can hear every note as it was meant to be heard.

I love that this turntable has the ability to record directly from your vinyl records to MP3 clips. There is even a USB drive and Bluetooth option to play files from or record too.
